Why we're building OnHold

OnHold started at four different dinner tables. We are four founders, all parents, and we kept catching ourselves half listening to our kids while a screen glowed in our hands. We tried app blockers and screen time limits, and none of it stuck, because the phone was still right there, lighting up, asking to be held.

So we built the thing we actually needed: a place for the phone to live. When your phone is docked, it charges quietly and your calls still reach you through the handset. The habit is physical. You can see it, the people around you can see it, and within days the dock becomes the default, the way keys land in the same bowl by the door.

You do not need kids for this to matter. If you live alone, it hands you back your evenings. If you share your life with someone, it means dinner with your eyes up.
